Of Zoo's and Gams and Traffic Jams

I was up in Michigan for a couple of days last week. With several recent hard frosts, the colors are the most vibrant in years.Everything's fruitful.











But the reason I was up there was an invitation from my sister to go to the Zoo.
Speaking for myself, when my sister and her grandkids invite the weird uncle to go to the zoo with them, I jump at the chance.

But out of Michigan it's been nothing but traffic jams, road blocks, and headaches.
Around Michigan City ("the Michiana Triangle")I ran into pockets of dense fog. Then the toll road going West was all torn up, bringing it down to one lane and a standstill---adding an extra hour to my drive time.
Finally, I was doing office work on the Monday holiday when nobody---nobody---was around. That, of course, was when I proceeded to lock all of my keys in my office.
I was trapped like a Chilean Miner for over an hour. I tell ya... And then the restraining order from the girl at the zoo arrived!
