It occurred to me these last couple weeks how similar the Republican Party is to the Catholic Church. Besides attracting extremist pitt bulls who hog the airwaves with their compassionless venom, besides damning common venial sinners while excusing the political and ecclesiastical authorities who perpetrate soliciting, adultery and ----of course----pedophilia as susceptible to "human fraility" and in need of understanding. Besides all that it's both groups' demeanor.
Both Catholics and Republicans are not happy unless they feel they're being persecuted. That's when they're at their best. They refuse to acknowledge they've won, they have got the POWER!!!
If someone gave me the keys to heaven, I'd rejoice and go around opening doors for people, instead of locking them out. And if the American people had put my party in the White House for two terms, I wouldn't go around questioning their patriotism, limiting their freedoms, especially after killing 4,000 of their kids for a tiny amount of oil. I don't know about you, I wouldn't be so eternally ANGRY!!!
But that's just me...
