Okay, if only Catholic groups can be called “The Church”, all you progressive Catholics have got to stop referring to yourselves as “The Faith Community of Saint…..”. Get off it; where are you meeting, in the catacombs???? Or how about “The Gang Headed by the Pope …”

And all Non-Catholics: you can’t call yourself a Church. Might I suggest “Place Where God Can Be Found”? I know that’s everywhere people of kind hearts and good will meet (which kind of leaves out the Vatican, doesn’t it? It’s Okay. It’ll be years before they realize it.) but it sounds welcoming.

Does the Curia in Rome, have such a case of dementia that they actually believe the church (small c) has the same place in society it did fifty or sixty years ago, before its hypocritical cover was blown?
People no longer bow down before the clergy ----or bend over in front of them, for that matter. Whereas before, the Syndicate Headed by the Pope (“Mother Church”) was in danger of becoming “The Grave of God”, now it’s becoming the “Museum of God.”


So, here’s my wager: $40 that before Popes Benedict passes on, he’ll make at least one appearance in the Tiara. (No matter the Prada shoes of the fisherman.) $50, if he’s wearing it while accepting the award for irrelevance. Habbemas Papa, Indeed!!
