May Prayers

The weekend was spent performing my church music job at life cycle liturgies. On Friday, a funeral for a father and grandfather(though not much older than me) in which the preacher spoke of how each of us carries within us a unique part of God, that no one else has. So we must reflect to others and see in others all the unique parts of the mosaic. On Saturday, I played at two First Communions with probably 60 some children altogether. Every catholic remembers their first dress-up affair, and at that time in their life, a bit of intimacy with someone they've just begun to hear about. Finally, 4 weekend masses where in the Gospel reading, Jesus says "Don't let your heart be troubled." All in all, ceremonies and words beneficial to hear. Mile marker 7
