It's who we are----- and don't forget it!

I came across a great quote in yesterday's Chicago Sun Times. The article concerned a man who had filed a complaint with the local post office concerning one thing or another. Since then a lot of his mail has either been delayed or not delivered at all.
The question the heading asked was "Retaliation or Coincidence?" Now Chicago just recently sold the rights to parking for a billion dollars they've already spent. And during the recent cold spell the payboxes which have replaced the meters froze up, particularly the quarter slot, and we were told "Hey, those things happen." Relatives of commissioners and aldermen working for the city/county get promotions and raises while others get laid off or eliminated, and we're told "This has nothing to do with connections."

Getting back to the story about the post office complainer, here is the quote that sums it all up:

"We're Chicagoans. We don't believe in coincidences."
