Yusef Islam's New Album: "Roadsinger"

Good to have this great songwriter and genuine, peaceful, sane man back!!!When I hit tough times over the years, I found myself singing "Moon Shadow" and "Father and Son" and "But I Might Die Tonight."

Dolly Parton is among an eclectic list of musicians guesting on the upcoming album from Yusef, the iconic singer-songwriter formerly known as Cat Stevens. Parton sings with Yusef and Paul McCartney on the project's first single, 'Boots and Sand,' with a video shot by Bob Dylan's son, Jesse Dylan.

'Boots and Sand' was inspired by a real-life incident that happened to Yusef in 2004. He was denied entry into the U.S., apparently because he was mistakenly identified as one of the names on the post-9/11 no-fly terrorist list.

You knew I'd find a way to tie this all together.

Two gentle, genuine singers whom we've blessed with these many years,
