The image of a girl dancing runs throughout my music. One of my earliest pieces at Cal Arts was a harp piece entitiled, "Somewnere a Young Girl is Dancing". Towards the end of "Indigent Night" the voices sing:"On the outskirts of memory, a girl dressed in white." And here's a verse from "The Grotto of St. Sybian":
"And a young girl is dancing where no one can see,
Around fires that were set so mysteriously,
And she's wearing your heart on your sleeve,
Dancing on and on without reprieve,
On the grave of the things you believe."
It seems that during the writing of any piece, a young girl dances in my head.
And Now on THOM P. MILLER MUSIC:

Me playing "Restless Flames", a piano solo from 1997.
